The guide for parents has strategies providing advice and practical tips such as ‘safe petting’ methods. The guide reinforces the message of active parenting, role modelling and consistent use of the book as a foundation for teaching ‘gentle hands’.
We created a song as studies show that music can accelerate brain development, the key to music for little ones is repetition with the goal of supporting language development and memory - remembering to be gentle even when they get excited! We also made sure our song uses positive affirmations - the words 'I am kind, I am gentle’ to help to develop their interpersonal skills and a positive sense of self as they grow and develop.
